Astrocactus

IstroCactus nursery is a leading producer of cacti and succulents for amateurs in Slovenia. We also produce wholesale plants for florists and garden centers, terracotta pots, and offer assistance on cultivation to our customers. Our specialty is flowering cacti.

Our plants can be found in almost all Slovenian cactus collections, especially the more difficult and rare species. We also have a wide range of seeds produced mostly from plants in our collection.

If you plan to visit Zasavje, we invite you to visit the largest collection of cacti and other succulent plants in Slovenia, which boasts more than 5,000 different plant specimens, from small Blossfeldia, to large specimens of Echinocactus.

We have a wide assortment of cacti in the genus Tephrocactus, Cylindrountia, Maihueniopsis and the like, produced mainly from cuttings. In addition, for fans of the genus Copiapoa we have numerous plants with locality data, obtained from our last exploration trip to Chile in 2006.
