The nineteenth edition of the Festa del Cactus has the honor of hosting Frank Süpplie, one of the highest existing authorities on epiphytic cacti and in particular on Epiphyllum and Schlumbergera hybrid flowering cacti, succulents that are highly prized especially abroad but enjoy some interest in Italy as well.
Frank has to his credit countless cultivars covered by international registration as well as a vast collection of hybrids that have made history in this category of ornamental plants with extraordinarily beautiful blooms, which he sourced from the four corners of the earth.
Of German origin and later naturalized Dutch Frank recently moved to Italy with his entire nursery business, which holds an endless collection of more than fifteen thousand types of epiphytic cacti from which he obtains the production destined for the market of enthusiasts of the genus.
