Dino Pellizzaro

Born in Bordighera, in the 1960s Dino encountered exotic plants in the Molinari nurseries in Vallecrosia where he worked as a young worker. Here, in his downtime he finds time to make his first Croton hybridizations. After gaining some experience as a landscape gardener, he moved to France to Vallauris, a tourist town between Cannes and Antibes, where he graduated and in 1986 established Pépinère Dino Pellizzaro, a nursery specializing in the introduction of exotic ornamental plants into Mediterranean environments, with special emphasis on botanical species of great ornamental value and resistant to the arid and hot climate.
